- Chicken(cut medium) - 1/2 kg
- Onion(sliced) - 2 nos
- Green chillies - 2 nos
- Ginger(crushed) - 1 piece
- garlic(crushed) - 4 cloves
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Chilly powder - 1 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
- Chicken Masala(optional) - 1 tsp
- Fennel seeds(A pinch, Perum jeerakam) -
- Cinnamon stick(Karugappatta) - 1 no
- Cloves(Grambu) - 3 nos
- Star aniseed(Thakollam) - 1 no
- Cardamom(Elakka) - 2 nos
- Black pepper(Few) -
- Curry leaves(Few) -
- Salt(As req) -
- Dry red chillies - 2 nos
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Shallots - 10 nos
- Oil - 3 tsp

Instructions
- Marinate chicken with all the ingredients and the powder except oil, shallots, mustard seeds and red chillies for 30 minutes.
- Cook it with enough water until all the water gets evaporated. Heat oil in another pan, add mustard seeds, dry red chillies, shallots. Saute well until shallots become golden brown in color.
- Add cooked Chicken to the pan stir well till chicken is fried.
- Serve hot.
