Ingredients
- puffed rice / pori 5 cup -
- onion 2 no. -
- red chili 2 no. -
- green chili 2 no. -
- Salt to taste -
- Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp -
- Oil : 4 tsp -
- Mustard : 1 tsp -
- broken black gram 1/2 tsp -
- bengal gram 1/2 tsp -
- Curry leaves 1 bunch -

Instructions
- soak the pori / puffed rice in water for 5 minutes
- filter the puffed rice / pori from water.
- chop the onion. green chili, red chili and curry leaves
- heat the oil in the pan and temper the mustard, broken black gram, bengal gram, curry leaves, red chili and green chili
- add onion and saute it until it turn into brown
- add salt and turmeric powder and mix well
- add puffed rice / pori and mix well and allow to fry for 5 minutes in a medium flame
- pori upma / puffed rice upma is ready to serve
