- Walnuts(chopped) - 1/2 cup
- All purpose flour(Maida) - 1 1/2 cup
- Butter - 100 g
- Eggs - 2 nos
- Sugar - 1 1/2 cup
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- Cream cheese - 2 tbsp
- Rum extract - 1/2 tsp
- Vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- Shortening(semisolid fat used in food preparation) - 1/2 cup
- Color cherry(chopped) - 1 cup

Instructions
- First beat butter and shortening together.
- Add sugar and beat till fluffy.
- Now, add eggs one by one beating simultaneously. Stir in vanilla and beat again.
- Sieve flour with baking powder. Add the sieved flour, cream cheese and milk alternatively and mix well.
- Finally, add walnuts, color cherries and mix well.
- Transfer the cake mix into a greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 325 degrees for 80 minutes.
- Pound cake with walnut, a delicious tea time snack, is ready.
