Strawberry Rasam

Strawberry rasam, a tangy and also a light sweet rasam which is my favourite. This can also be served as a tasty soup. This is quite a different and also an interesting rasam.

  • 10 nos Strawberry
  • 1/4 cup Toor Dal
  • 1/4 cup Tamarind water
  • 2 Tomato
  • 1 tsp Jeera and pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Asafeotida
  • 1/2 tsp Rasam powder
  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 1 string Curry and coriander leaves
  • Salt as per taste


  • In pan add boiled dal and tamarind water
  • Now grind both tomato and strawberry, mix with dal
  • Now add crushed jeera, pepper and chopped strawberry
  • Now add rasam powder, mix well and add asafeotida. bring to boil for 10 minutes
  • Now temper with ghee and add mustard and add to mixture
  • Now its ready to serve with rasam
