This porridge is a healthy one normally given for babies and also suitable for diet beginners. Thinai has lots of nutritional benefits and it is the best dish for people with diabetes.

  • 1 cup Tinnai foxtail millets
  • 1/4 cup Pasiparuppu
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera
  • Salt as per taste


  • Soak both tinnai and pasiparuppu and keep aside
  • Boil water 1: 4 for millet proportion
  • Add both tinnai and pasiparuppu
  • When it boil and cook well with porridege consistency
  • Now add salt and pepper, jeera and turn off
  • Now its ready to serve tinnai and pasiparuppu porridge
