- Boiled avarakkai 1 cup -
- Chopped onion : ½ cup -
- Red chilli : 2 -
- Salt to taste -
- Turmeric : ½ tsp -
- Mustard : ½ tsp -
- Broken black gram ¼ tsp -
- Curry leaves 1 bunch -
- Oil : 3 tsp -
- Grated Coconut : 2 tsp -

Instructions
- In a pan heat the oil and temper the mustard, broken black gram, red chilli and curry leaves.
- Add onion and sauté it
- Off the flame and put the grated coconut and mix it
- Avarakka / field sundal is ready to serve
