This dish is served with idiappam, appam, pathiri etc. 25 g Split Bengal gram (Kadala parippu)250 g Bananas (ripe)Cardamom powder (A pinch, Elakka)1/4 cup Sugar2 cups Coconut milk (1 cup thick extraction and 1 cup thin milk)1/4 inch Ginger (finely chopped)1 no Onion (finely chopped, medium)1 tbsp GheeSalt (As reqd) For preparing malabar eathapazham madhuracurry, remove the outer skin of the bananas and slice into thick rounds of 1/4 inch thickness.Soak the split Bengal gram in sufficient water and cook until done.Take a pan and boil the thin extraction of coconut milk. Add banana rounds and sugar. Stir lightly and cook for 7 minutes.Lower the flame and add cooked bengal gram and cardamom powder. Add required salt and stir.Add the thick extraction of coconut milk and stir. Remove from fire before boiling starts.Take a pan and heat ghee. Fry the chopped onion and ginger till golden in color.Pour this into the madhuracurry and mix.Malabar eathapazham madhuracurry is ready and serve hot. Kerala
