- moong dal 1 cup -
- Small onion 1 cup -
- Tomato 2 no. -
- green chili 4 no. -
- red chili 2 no. -
- Garlic 4 no. -
- Salt to taste -
- Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp -
- oil 5 tsp -
- Mustard : 1 tsp -
- broken black gram 1/2 tsp -
- fennel seed 1/2 tsp -
- Curry leaves 1 bunch -

- fry the moong dal in the pan without adding oil
- broke the fried moong dal.
- broke all the moong dal.
- boil the broken moong dal by adding water, tomato, green chili, salt, turmeric powder and garlic
- once it get boiled, smash the boiled moong dal as shown the picture
- in a pan heat the oil and temper the mustard, broken black gram and fennel seeds
- add curry leaves, red chili and onion, saute it until the onion turn into brown
- moong dal curry is ready. serve with rice, chappati or roti
