  • Heat milk in a pan and when it boils and starts to rise, add raw rice.
  • Keep the flame low and stir continuously until the quantity reduces to one-half.
  • Add sugar and powdered cardamom.
  • Roast cashewnuts and raisins in ghee and add it to the payasam.

    hi!!!!!! jayashi this is really good dessert u can serve ur guest wen u`ve got lots of items to be prepared.its just an instaneous kheer cud u tell me which variety of rice is to be used for that as i`m goin 2 try it and dont want 2 spoil the taste
