Vegetable Jalfraize Dish cooked in cashew paste 1 no Carrot1 no Potato1/2 cup Beans1/2 cup Peas1 cup Chopped Cabbage1/2 OnionSalt (As reqd)1/2 tsp Sugar2 tbsp Fresh Cream1/2 inch Cinnamon (Karugapatta)2 nos Cardamom (Elakka)3 tbsp OilCoriander leaves for garnishingFor grinding:1/2 no Onion1 no Tomato8-10 nos Cashews1 tsp Poppy seeds (Khashakhasha)3 nos Green chillies1 tsp Garlic and ginger paste Cut all the vegetables into small pieces. Cook all vegetables except peas and onion and keep aside. Roast poppy seeds and green chillies in little oil. Grind it along with all other grinding ingredients. Heat oil in a pan.Fry cinnamon, cardamoms followed by onions and fry till translucent.Add ground paste and fry for a few minutes. Add all cooked vegetables, salt and little sugar. Pour required water to make it into a thick gravy and cook till done.Just before turning off, add fresh cream and simmer for two minutes. Garnish with finely cut coriander leaves.:- Serve hot with chapathis or parathas. Goa
