this is my own recipe. usually we do usli in veg but i tried with egg. this came out well and crispy too

  • Soak toor dal for 1-2 hours
  • Now grind coarsely toor dal with dry chili and add little salt
  • Now grease idly pan, add toor dal mixture and steam for 10 mins
  • In bowl beat egg with salt and chilli powder
  • Now grease oil and pour egg and steam for 5- 10 min
  • Now allow to cool both and crumble it
  • In pan add oil and temper mustard, channa dal, curry leaves and asafeotida
  • Now add both dal and egg in pan cook for 10 min in low flame with some extra oil for more crispy
  • Now its ready to serve Muttai Usli
