This uthappam is really a treat for those people with diabetes. Ragi is rich is calcium and iron and also has lots of nutritional benefits. This uthappam serves as a filled breakfast even for school going kids.

  • 1/2 cup Ragi
  • 1/2 cup Idly batter
  • 1 grated Carrot
  • 1 chopped Onion
  • Oil for greasing


  • Now soak ragi flour with salt and little water
  • Now mix with idly batter and rest for 5 minutes
  • Now its mixed and have formed batter consistency
  • Now heat the tawa and make uttappam and sprinkle onion, carrot and grease oil
  • Now turn other side and grease oil and cook till ragi cooks
  • Now its ready to serve Ragi Carrot Onion Uttappam
