Semiya Payasam Semiya payasam is a classic Indian dessert prepared with roasted vermicelli , milk and nuts. It is creamy and delicious to have on special occasions like onam, vishu etc. vermicelli 1 cupmilk 1 litersugar 1 cupghee 1 table spoonmilk maid 1 bottlecashew nut 10 to 15dry grapes 10 to 15 numbcardamom powder a pinch heat a pan pour little ghee to it .when it melts pour cashew nutsauté it wellthen add dry grapes and make it is slightly fried.then off the flame and heat another panto this add little gheewhen it meltspour vermicelli to itsauté it wellwhen its slightly fried or brown colormean while keep milk to boil.when the vermicelli gets fried and milk gets boiledpour half of the milk to the panstir well and make low flameclose the pan for some time to make the milk and vermicelli a mix.check after some time and stir well.when the vermicelli and milk gets a thicker stage .pour sugar to itstir wellthen pour the remaining milk to it.stir well continuously for sometime .when it gets thicker again pour the fried nuts and cardamom powder.pour milk maidstir well and when its mixed well .off the flameour payasam is ready Kerala
