Usili is a Traditional South Indian (tamil) curry/side dish prepared with lentils and vegetables. Usually paruppu usili is made toor dal and in addition we add valaipoo and good taste too

- Valaipoo - 1
- Toor dal - 1 cup
- Red chili - 3
- Fennel seed - 1 tsp
- Oil - 2 tblsp
- Mustard - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves(littlr) -
- Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
- Salt(as taste) -

- Clean valaipoo . i already posted cleaning method in valaipoo aadai. or remove that stem inside as seen in the pic and chop
- Soak toor dal for 1/2 an hour , in a jar add red chili and fennel seeds and coarsely grind and add dal , salt and grind coarsely and keep aside.
- In a pan add oil and temper mustard, asafoetida and curry leaves
- Now add toorl dal mixture and valaipoo and combine together cook for 5 mins
