- cleaned vazhaipoo / banana flower 1 cup -
- curd 1/4 cup -
- egg 3 -
- Chopped Onion : 1 cup -
- Red chilli 2 no. -
- Oil : 3 tsp -
- Mustard : 1/2 tsp -
- broken black gram 1/4 tsp -
- Curry leaves 1 bunch -
- Salt to taste -
- Turmeric : 1/4 tsp -

Instructions
- soak the vazhaipoo / banana flower in curd for 1 hour and finely chop it
- in pan heat oil and temper the mustard, broken black gram, curry leaves and red chilli
- add onion and saute it until it turn into brown
- add water and allow it to get boiled
- now vazhaipoo/ banana flower poriyal is ready
